Quality weatherization training relies on excellent resources, a sound training approach, and skilled people. A training program must address the unique needs of state and local agencies. All aspects must be well planned, well designed, and well run. Staffing must include trainers who know how to convey knowledge and help students build understanding and competencies, all in a straightforward, practical way. A successful program must also provide a wide range of real-world, hands-on training opportunities. In addition, a training program must be implemented quickly, with great quality, to get people back to work and use funds efficiently.
In response to these needs, EMC brings together the critical elements of planning and design, comprehensive training, customized curriculum, hands-on training setups, and program management. We offer a wide range of products ready to customize to local requirements, and an experienced core staff of weatherization, construction, and education experts to work with your agency to design the right program for your needs.
“Now more than ever, weatherization requires one of the most advanced professionally trained workforces in the building trades. In order to meet national goals and properly serve clients, it is crucial that agencies provide first-class training that is practical, thorough, and efficient so that we can get the workers out into the field quickly to deliver consistent, top-quality weatherization services.”
